Privacy
Plain English, no lawyer padding.
The short version
BeeTools has no user accounts, so there is nothing for us to attach data to. Most tools process your input entirely inside your browser, which means the content you paste or the files you choose are never sent to us at all.
Tools that never transmit your data
The following tools do all of their work on your device. Your text, images and documents do not leave your computer, and we could not read them even if we wanted to:
- Age Calculator
- Base64 Encoder & Decoder
- Hash Generator
- Image Compressor
- Image Resizer
- JSON Formatter & Validator
- JWT Decoder
- Password Generator
- PDF Merger
- Percentage Calculator
- QR Code Generator
- Unix Timestamp Converter
- URL Encoder & Decoder
- UUID Generator
- Word Counter
This list is generated from the same source of truth that builds the tools themselves, so it stays accurate as we add more.
What we do collect
We collect aggregate, anonymous usage statistics — which tool pages are viewed, and whether an action such as “copy” or “download” was used. These are counts, not content: we record that a download happened, never what was downloaded. No analytics provider is enabled unless it is explicitly configured, and when one is, it is chosen for being cookie-free.
Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) are kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.
What we never collect
- The contents of any file you open in a browser-based tool.
- Text you paste into a tool that runs locally.
- Passwords generated by the password generator.
- Names, email addresses or payment details — we do not ask for them.
Cookies
BeeTools does not set tracking cookies. Your theme preference is stored in your browser’s local storage, which never leaves your device and is not sent with requests.
Advertising
The site is supported by advertising, served by Google AdSense. Google may set cookies and use them to personalise the ads you see, in accordance with its own policy for partner sites. You can review and change your ad personalisation settings at Google My Ad Center.
Two things are worth being precise about. First, this is outside our control and applies to the ad frames themselves — an advertiser has no access to what you type into a tool, because that content never leaves your browser in the first place. Second, ads are never placed inside a tool interface: only above it, below your results, or between listing sections.
Third parties
We link to IPGet for network lookups. It is a separate product with its own privacy policy; following that link means leaving BeeTools.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published here.
